Ingredients
- 2 eggs
- 200g brown sugar
- 1 Tbsp vanilla
- 1 tsp molasses
- 35 g unsweetened baking chocolate
- 115 g unsalted butter
- ¼ tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp baking powder
- 64 g sifted flour
- 50 g pecan pieces (optional)
- 50 g chocolate chips (optional)
- Line a 9 x 9 inch pan with baking parchment or use butter and flour to keep the brownies from sticking.
- Pre-heat the oven to 350F.
- Melt the butter and stir in sugar, eggs, vanilla, and molasses.
- Beat in cocoa, flour, salt, and baking powder.
- Mix in pecan and/or chocolate chips if using.
- Spread batter into prepared pan.
- Bake for 25-35 minutes or until a toothpick or knife comes out clean.
- Set aside, wait until they cool to cut and eat them.
